The operation of The Reef is in the hands of four knowledge institutions, each with its own angle and offering training. The Reef aims to take the technical and digital skills of current and future workers in the blue economy to the next level. To achieve this, we go beyond traditional learning methods. We integrate XR and VR into our training courses.
Showcase training
At regular intervals, we offer our showcase training. This introduction training provides an overview of the sector and gives you a taste of the training opportunities with VR. Contact us for more information.
Upskill people
The Reef is part of the UPSKILL investment project. Within this project, POM West Flanders, together with VDAB, invests in brand-new, future-proof training equipment distributed throughout the province. Think industrial CNC-controlled metalworking machines, new welding workshops but also a VR application on textile finishing and a Serious game transport and logistics. This equipment allows people to retrain or upskill in these fast-changing cutting-edge sectors.
