Blue Talent Day
During Belgian Offshore Days in Ostend, The Reef together with partners will organise the Blue Talent Day on 13 March 2025. Students and job seekers will discover job opportunities and internships at companies active in the offshore wind industry during Blue Talent Day. The knowledge institutions will present their specific training offer that leads to jobs in the blue economy sector. The focus is on short-term training courses for employees, job seekers and students.
PROGRAMMA (voor studenten)
- 8:00 - 10:00 - Bus transfer to Ostend (several pick-up locations)
- 10:00 - 11:30 - Visit to Ostend Science Park (The Reef/Drone Dock, Flanders Maritime Laboratory, eBO Enterprises)
- 11:45 - 12:30 - Lunch
- 12:30 - 13:30 - Transfer to Belgian Offshore Days
- 13:30 - 14:20 - Blue Talent meets industry: of participating companies for students and jobseekers.
- 14:30 - 15:20 - Training for Blue Talent: presentation of specific training courses in the sector.
- 15:30 - 16:30 - Meet and greet: guided tour of participating companies by students.
- 16:30 - 18:30 - Bus transfer back to pick-up locations

Are you a teacher or training coordinator of a technically oriented course, with a focus on energy? Do you want to immerse your students in the energy transition at sea in an exciting way and prepare them for an even more exciting career?
During the Blue Talent Day we introduce participants to the numerous career opportunities the energy transition at sea entails and to the various training programs and additional learning modules that exist for this sector. In addition, we bring learners and internship coordinators into contact with HR managers of companies to support them in their search for valuable internships, graduation assignments and jobs.
